DESCRIPTION:
Highland Park 40 YO Whiskey 43.2% vol. 0.70l
It is 40 years old, which makes the whiskey the oldest in the Highland Park family. In creating this one-of-a-kind drop, Highland Park proved that patience isn't just a virtue, it's a feat - in this case in liquid form. The Orkney malt is a vatting of different 40-year-old whiskeys and comes in a noble wooden chest. The whiskey was allowed to rest in former bourbon casks before it was bottled at cask strength without coloring and without chill filtration. Highland Park edited a 40-year-old for the first time in 2008, and then as now, only ten casks are used for the single malt and it is launched in very manageable quantities. The special creation is correspondingly rare.
